Two Wheel Travelers: CampStoc (ST Owners Club)

The ST Owners Club is an on-line club for Honda ST 1100 and ST1300 motorbikes, of which I belong. We do camping get togethers throughout the year and all over the country. This particular gathering was named CampStoc, and was held in Tellico Plains, TN.

Tellico Plains is a great teeny tiny town at the TN end of the Cherohala Skyway. If you have never ridden this road, you owe it to yourself to do so. It starts in Robbinsville, NC and ends in Tellico Plains. Beautiful sweepers with nary a straight piece of asphalt and climbing to over a mile in elevation, this road will plaster a smile on your face that will be hard to wash off at the end of the day.

Our campground base for this trip was Hunts Lodge Motorcycle Campground. This was my first time at this particular moto campground, and I was duly impressed. Motorcyclists came from all over the country, mostly the southeast, notheast and central regions. I met fellow ST owners from "chats" on line, some old aquaintences, some new.

Tellico Plains has it's own motorcycle gear and apparell shop too: Tellico Plains Motorcycle Outfitters. A great store that caters to riders who ride, mostly long distances. The great thing about this store is the quality of the merchandise: you will not find one piece of junk in here.

The owners wife owns a great little coffee shop/ice cream parlor right across the street too. One stop shopping, all on Tellico Plains 1 block long Main Street.
